Galaxy Health Insurance has forayed into international travel insurance with the launch of 'Fly Global', a plan covering emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and other travel-related contingencies for outbound travellers.
The move comes as travel insurance adoption in India continues to rise, with non-medical claims such as trip cancellations and flight delays now outpacing medical claims, and travellers increasingly choosing emerging destinations.
Health insurers have been diversifying beyond domestic health cover into travel and wellness products to tap new customer segments and expand their distribution reach.
